Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Version 2026-08-10-v3
This page explains Alera’s practices regarding the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, and how to submit an opt-out request. Alera is educational software—not a medical device.
Our posture
Alera does not sell your personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the ordinary course of operating the Alera app.
Service providers and processors
We use service providers to run Alera (for example authentication, hosting, payments, email, and optional AI features). Those parties process data under our instructions to provide the service—not to sell your information. See the Privacy Policy for categories of processors.
How to opt out
Even though we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as described above, California residents (and others where similar rights apply) may still submit an opt-out request. We will record your preference and confirm our practices.
- Email privacy@aleralabs.io with subject “Do Not Sell or Share”
- Include the email on your Alera account and a statement that you wish to opt out of sale/sharing of personal information
- Authorized agents may submit on your behalf with proof of authorization
Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA/CPRA rights, including opting out of sale or sharing, subject to permitted differences in service related to free vs paid plans that do not depend on waiving privacy rights.
